It illuminates the history of Virginia's trans-Atlantic tobacco trade, plantation management, and family relationships. Papers of Hannah (Lee) Corbin (1728- 1782); her romantic partner, Dr. Richard Lingan Hall (d. 1774); and Hannah's son-in-law, George Turberville, figure most prominently.
